Look what we have been up to...

This term we have learnt about World War Two! We were evacuated to Murton Park to spend the day in 1940! We learned how to bake (on the ration), make our own butter, make rag-rugs and put on our gas masks! We heard the air raid siren so had to try out the Anderson shelters! We taped the windows with blast-tape and even had a go at being the Fire Guard! Back at school, in science, we worked out which was the best materials to use to keep us warm in an air raid shelter and created Blitz pictures in our art lessons!

Greece Is The Word

(It's a study of Ancient Greece)

Autumn 1 - Parent Flyer for Volcanoes

Autumn 2 - Parent Flyer for WW2

Spring 1 - Parent Flyer for Ancient Greeks

All classes in Y5 get a chance to work with the Elite Coaches on a Friday. To make changing between classes easier, we would prefer pupils to come to school wearing their official Green/Black PE kit on Friday instead of their regular uniform

This term we will be doing athletics outside. Children will need to wear their school black PE shorts/black tracksuit bottoms & t-shirt for these lessons. Black school hoodies maybe worn over the top to keep pupils warm for the rest of the day. As this is the uniform for the day we ask that children wear the official school PE kit rather than sports clothing from other clubs etc.
