Welcome to Airedale Junior Academy, part of Castleford Trust

As Headteacher, I am extremely proud to welcome you to Airedale Junior Academy. Our website is designed to give you a flavour of the vibrant life of our school and the high-quality education we strive to deliver.

Located in Airedale, Castleford, we are a large junior school dedicated to teaching children from Year 3 to Year 6. We are incredibly proud of our school community and deeply value the positive contribution we make to the local area as a proud part of the Castleford Trust.

At Airedale Juniors, we believe that a positive, child-centred ethos is essential to reflecting the values of our school community. We strongly believe that every young person, regardless of their background or ability, has the right to a high-quality education and an engaging school offer. We are committed to fostering achievement, enjoyment, and compassion within a safe, caring environment where everyone is valued.

High expectations permeate throughout our school. We truly believe that a dedication to working hard alongside aspirational thinking, and resilience, in all areas of school life are the ingredients to high-quality experiences and learning. By working in close partnership with our pupils, their parents, carers, and the wider community, we aim to help our children develop into happy, well-prepared, and confident individuals who adopt an 'I can' mentality and rise to the challenges that the world presents.
